PRP is advanced treatment physicians have used to help repair damaged or injured tissues in your body. This minimally invasive procedure helps initiate your system's regenerative process by harvesting the growth factors that platelets are known to contain. One significant benefit to PRP is that you are using your body's own natural process; there is virtually no chance of rejection or allergic reaction.
The result of the treatment is natural stimulation of growth factors moving towards the treated area. There are no known side effects of PRP, although you may occasionally experience minor swelling or pain near the injection points for a short period of time.
PRP has gained national attention recently due to the use by champion football players and professional golfers. The process is quick, essentially painless and uses your natural healing powers without drugs.
With the ProGen Platelet Rich Plasma System, one kit does it all. Discover why more physicians are switching to this scientifically-validated system and how this progressive technology is the right solution for your practice.

The treatment of PRP is relatively simple and can be completed within an hour. Blood is drawn from the patient (approximately 20cc). The blood is then transferred to a 30mm cylinder (YES PRP Kit). The nurse immediately places the blood into a centrifuge for separation, which takes approximately 8 minutes. Once the Platelet Rich Plasma is separated, it is transferred to a syringe for injection. PPP is distinctly visible and may be used separately or mixed with the PRP.
